ABOUT US
DW Computer Enterprise is a startup by a tech enthusiast, Duane Wasylyshen,
a little about me is that I have been working on computers since I was about 10 years of age and
learning how to repair things even before that much to the chagrin of my parents trashing things that never got put back together.
fast forward to my teen years, I wasn't old enough to hold a job but I wanted to be helpful,
so I started volunteering at the VA Hospital, I loved helping our veterans at first I was helping them by
making sure they were able to get to their appointments by helping at the lobby information desk, from there
I moved up in volunteering to patient transport and that helped them more by pushing their wheelchairs to their appointments,
taking fluid specimens to the lab to be tested, and moving equipment to be available for patient use.
From there I started to volunteer in the IMS Department (Information Management Service) the in-house IT Department,
which I worked alongside the Hospital Helpdesk to respond to various computer and printer problems in the hospital,
diagnosing and repairing and sometimes replacing whatever device was causing the issues. I also helped as the hospital was being renovated
to stage and set up the computers and printers, including connecting the network cable patches and connecting the computers to the network,
mapping networked drives and setting computers up for specialized uses especially working with the design team with their equipment.
I then went on to work for a law office as their main IT personnel helping to digitally organize their case management, maintain
and upgrade their website and help with any issues in the office as well as network maintenance.
After that I went to work for a small repair shop, spent a few years there and became their primary cellphone and small device repair technician,
as well as their primary Video game console technician, and ran one of their locations for about a year before that location closed and they
pulled me back to their main location.
I really do want to help people and my skills do best when I'm helping with technology, I have my degree in computer information technology
I have over 2000 hours of volunteer time and id estimate a good 5 years in IT repair shops, I want to help people but I also do want to
provide for my family and provide a good future for them!
